Sykes purchases Costa Rica facility

Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated and Acer America Corp. announced that Acer America has sold Acer Information Services, its subsidiary based in Heredia, Costa Rica, to Sykes. Acer America, based in San Jose, California, is a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Acer Incorporated, the world's third largest computer manufacturer. Sykes is a provider of vertically integrated technology-based solutions, with 32 technical call centers, nine e-commerce centers and 25 branch offices located in 16 countries. ”We are excited to expand into Costa Rica with this state-of-the-art facility, multilingual workforce and the ability to provide technical support services to Acer America,” commented David L. Grimes, president and chief operating officer of Sykes.

Sykes also recently expanded its worldwide support services with new call center operations in Beijing, China; Budapest, Hungary; and Istanbul, Turkey.
