E.1. Call for papers: LRC Best Thesis Award, Internationalisation & Localisation Conference

The Localisation Research Centre (LRC) is accepting entries for its LRC Best Thesis Award, sponsored by Symantec Ireland. The award is intended to find the best research publication in an area relevant to global content development, internationalization and localization. The scope of the entries for the award need not be confined to a technical linguistic area, and applications are also invited from students who are carrying out research into commercial and management aspects of the localization industry. The closing date for submission of entries is 27 July 2012.

LRC has also announced a call for papers for the 17th Annual LRC Internationalisation & Localisation Conference to be held in Limerick, Ireland, on 20-21 September 2012. The theme of the conference is social localization and its dramatic impact on the language industry. The deadline for proposal submissions is 31 July 2012.
